New Delhi: Police yesterday arrested the 23-year-old man who had allegedly thrown acid on two women, one of whom had rejected his marriage proposal recently, police said.
“The attacker, Manoj, was nabbed from Bawana bus stand in Outer Delhi here this afternoon,” a senior police official said.
According to police, Manoj had thrown acid on a 19-year-old girl and her 26-year-old friend in Begumpur area of Outer Delhi after the former refused his proposal for marriage.
The victims were on their way to a market when Manoj attacked them last evening.
While the 19-year-old received around 15 per cent burns, her friend suffered superficial injuries.
