New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's proactiveness as leader of his party in the Lok Sabha was visible Friday when he spent nearly 15 minutes talking to fellow MPs and ministers even after the house was adjourned.
As soon as Speaker Sumitra Mahajan adjourned the house after completion of the day's business at 1 p.m. and MPs started filtering out of the house, Modi called Minister of Food Processing Harsimrat Kaur Badal and was seen discussing something animatedly with her.
With Home Minister Rajnath Singh also joining in the conversation, the issue was possibly the violence within the Golden Temple complex in Amritsar Friday morning, which left seven people injured. Badal is the Lok Sabha member from Bathinda in Punjab.
Soon, Mirzapur MP Anupriya Patel of the Apna Dal, an ally of the BJP, walked up to the prime minister and the two had a conversation for about five minutes.
