Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra: Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacts with beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra today (December 16) via video conferencing.
According to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), during the programme, the Prime Minister flagged off the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram.

Addressing a gathering, PM Modi urged the state governments to promote this Viksit Bharat Sankalp. "Today, this (Viksit Bharat Sankalp) yatra has been flagged off in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram. I urge the governments in these states to promote this yatra," he said.
He further said that Modi's guarantee begins after hope from everyone else ends.
PM Modi said that with the resolve of a developed India, 'Modi's guarantee vehicle' is reaching every corner of the country. "In just one month, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has reached thousands of villages and 1,500 cities," he added.
PM Modi said, "For the resolution of developed India, our cities have a huge role. For a long time after the independence, the development was limited to a few big cities. But today, we are focusing on the development of the Tier 2 and 3 cities. Under the Amirt Mission or SMART City Mission, basic facilities are being improved in the small cities. We are trying that facilities like water supply, drainage, sewage system, traffic system, CCTV network etc are upgraded constantly. Cleanliness, public toilets, and LED street lights are also being worked upon for the first time on this level. This has a direct impact on ease of living and ease of doing business."
In one month, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has reached thousands of villages and cities and most of them are small towns, he added. Modi said his government is trying to ease the troubles of everyone like a family member. "This is our government that has helped the poor, farmers, small businessmen and various other sections of society. Modi's guarantee begins after hope from everyone else ends," he said.
The prime minister said that for a long time after independence, benefits of development were limited to a few big cities, but his government is focussing on the development of smaller cities and that would strengthen the foundation for a developed India.
Thousands of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra beneficiaries from across the country joined the event. The programme was also be joined by a large number of Union Ministers, MPs, MLAs and local-level representatives.

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is being undertaken across the country with the aim to attain saturation of flagship schemes of the government through ensuring that the benefits of these schemes reach all targeted beneficiaries in a time-bound manner.
