PM Modi hails women's contribution in science and sports in 'Mann Ki Baat' show
PM Modi addressed the 104th episode of his monthly radio show Mann Ki Baat and hailed the participation and contribution of women in the field of science and sports.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 104th episode of his monthly radio show ‘Mann Ki Baat’ today.
The programme's broadcast began at 11 am on radio and digital platforms like the YouTube channel of the Prime Minister.
PM begins with Chandrayaan-3
"From the Red Fort I had said that we have to strengthen women-led development as a national character. Where the capability of women's power is added impossible is made possible. Mission Chandrayaan is also a living example of women's power. In this mission, many women scientists & engineers were directly involved in it," PM Modi said.
"On 23rd of August, India and India's Chandrayaan have proved that some suns of resolve rise on the moon as well. Mission Chandrayaan has become a symbol of the spirit of New India, which wants to ensure victory, and also knows how to win in any situation. We have accomplished such a lofty flight since today our dreams are big and our efforts are also big. Along with our scientists, other sectors have also played an important role in the success of Chandrayaan-3," he added.
The Prime Minister said that Chandrayaan has become a symbol of the spirit of New India.
"Mission Chandrayaan has become a symbol of the spirit of New India, which wants to ensure victory, and also knows how to win in any situation," he said.
PM on G20
PM Modi talked about G20 Summit which will take place in the national capital in September and said that India's presidency of the mega event is "people's presidency".
"Month of September is going to be witness to the potential of India. India is fully prepared for G-20 Leaders Summit to be held next month. Heads of 40 countries and many Global Organizations are coming to the capital Delhi to participate in this event. Our Presidency of G20 is people's Presidency in which the spirit of public participation is at the forefront," he said.
"After the G-20 meeting in Srinagar, a huge increase in the number of tourists to Kashmir is being seen. I urge all countrymen to come together to make G20 summit successful and bring glory to the country," PM Modi added.
PM Modi interacts with sportspersons, lauds them for their achievement
"In episodes of 'Mann Ki Baat', we often discuss the potential of our young generation. Today, sports is one area where our youth are continuously achieving new successes. Our youths achieving new success in sports; they won record number of medals in World University Games in China. Indian players displayed their best ever performance in these games.," he said.
PM reflects on 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign
The Prime Minister hailed the people's participation in the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign ahead of the Independence Day.
"This time on 15th August, the country saw the power of 'Sabka Prayas'. The efforts of all the countrymen turned the 'Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan' into a 'Har Man Tiranga Abhiyan'," he said.
"Sanskrit is one of the oldest languages in the world. Gladdening to see that people doing research on subjects like Yoga, Ayurveda and philosophy are now learning Sanskrit more and more," PM Modi said.
August 29 - Telugu Day
PM Modi highlighted the value of language in connecting to the roots and culture of the country and mentioned Telugu as one of the oldest languages.
"You must have often experienced one thing, in order to connect with the roots, to connect with our culture, our tradition, there’s is a very powerful medium – our mother tongue. India has another mother tongue, the glorious Telugu language. 29th August will be celebrated as Telugu Day. When we connect with our mother tongue, we naturally connect with our culture," he said.
PM Modi urged the citizens to remember the mantra of 'Vocal for Local' ahead of the festive season and said that every citizen has the responsibility to make an 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat'.
The last edition (103rd) was broadcast on July 30 in which the Prime Minister introduced the idea of 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' campaign for the first time to honour the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country. "One big campaign is going to be organised in the country, 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' to honour the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country. 'Amrti Kalash Yatra' will be taken out during this campaign, carrying soil and plants in 7500 Kalash from villages and various corners of the country will reach Delhi. 'Amrit Vatika' will be made from the soil and plants being carried in these 'Kalash' near National War Memorial," he said.
Mann Ki Baat has impacted all sections of society, who have been inspired to contribute towards fulfilling the great goals he has set for the nation.
PM Modi’s Mann Ki Baat first radio show was aired on October 3, 2014, which reached a milestone with its 100th episode on April 30 this year.
