Ajmer, Oct 16: Union Minister Sachin Pilot today laid foundation stone of an electronic testing and development centre to be set up at a cost of Rs 50 crore in Palra industrial area here.
“The agencies working in the field of solar energy will have to obtain a certificate of equipment testing from this centre,” the minister said. “This would encourage more investment in the field.”
Pilot said, “There are 14 such centres across the country but this will be the first with a facility to certify four to six feet long plates to be used in solar energy generation plants.”
The project is scheduled to be completed within next three years and will testify the standard of equipments used in telecom sector, the Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology said.
