Patna : The Patna police on Thursday night filed an FIR against Bihar Food and Civil Supplies Minister Shyam Rajak on charge of mentally harassing and intimidating a deputy director of Doordarshan, Ratna Purakayastha.
In her FIR, the lady Doordarshan official alleged that there was a departmental issue going on between her and a DD programme executive Naveen Prasad, who claimed himself to be a relative of the minister.
The DD official alleged, the minister rang her up from his own cellphone and threatened her leading to mental harassment.
In her written complaint on Dec 4 at Shastri Nagar police station , Ratna Purkayastha also alleged that five persons came to her residence to intimidate her.
Janata Dal (United) spokesperson Sanjay Singh, MLC had yesterday claimed that the minister did not indulge in eve-teasing.
