Both Houses have been adjourned till 11 am on Wednesday. 

While replying to TMC MP Saugata Ray on J-K bills debate in Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah countered him asking how can a country have two PMs, two constitutions and two flags? The Lok Sabha was debating on the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Amendment) Bill, 2023 and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2023.

Taking a jibe at Bharatiya Janata Party after its resounding victories in the Assembly polls in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh, DMK MP DNV Senthilkumar on Tuesday said that people in the country should realise that BJP can only register wins in the Hindi heartland states and referred to them as 'Gaumutra states'. The Lok Sabha was debating on the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Amendment) Bill, 2023 and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2023.

On the second day of the Winter Session of Parliament, Union Home Minister Amit Shah was seen arriving at the Parliament. As one of the key figures in the government, Shah's presence adds significance to the ongoing session, where various legislative matters, debates, and discussions are expected to take place. The Winter Session is a crucial period for addressing important issues, introducing bills, and engaging in parliamentary deliberations.

Responding to West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee's statement regarding the upcoming I.N.D.I.A alliance meeting during the Winter Session of Parliament, Amravati MP Navneet Rana expressed skepticism, stating, "This is just the start. They will break soon." Rana conveyed her belief that the opposition coalition lacks the capability to pose a substantial challenge to Prime Minister Modi, confidently asserting, "They cannot do anything against PM Modi. He (PM) will win again."

Responding to opposition leaders' allegations of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) tampering, BJP Member of Parliament Sushil Modi stated, "They (opposition) will raise questions over everything, including EVMs, following their loss." Modi further expressed confidence that the Congress, JD(U), and Samajwadi Party would have faced defeat in the Madhya Pradesh elections even if they had contested together.

As opposition parties pointed fingers at EVMs, alleging manipulation as the reason behind the Congress' poor performance in the 2023 Assembly polls, Modi countered these claims, emphasizing the lack of unity among the opposition factions. He suggested that their disunity contributed significantly to their defeat in Madhya Pradesh.

Trinamool Congress (TMC) Member of Parliament, Mahua Moitra, expressed uncertainty regarding the tabling of the Ethics Committee report in the 'cash-for-query' case. Moitra's comments came as she addressed the media, stating, "Let's see, I don't know whether they will place it or not."

The report from the Lok Sabha Ethics Committee recommending Moitra's expulsion in connection with the 'cash-for-query' case was scheduled for presentation after the Question Hour. However, as the House adjourned for lunch, the report had not been tabled.

On the premises of Parliament, members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) took to protest, expressing their discontent over what they claim is the misuse of Central agencies. The demonstration was aimed at highlighting concerns about the alleged misuse of investigative bodies for political purposes.

AAP MPs gathered in a show of dissent, holding placards and banners, demanding transparency and accountability in the functioning of Central agencies. The protest unfolded against the backdrop of ongoing debates and controversies surrounding the use of investigative agencies in political matters.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to introduce legislative bills aimed at amending the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Act, 2004, and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019. The latter act facilitated the reorganisation of Jammu and Kashmir into the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. The proposed bill not only increases the total seats in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly from 83 to 90 but also mandates the reservation of seven seats for Scheduled Castes and nine seats for Scheduled Tribes, reflecting significant developments in the region's political structure.

Congress Member of Parliament Manish Tewari has submitted an Adjournment Motion Notice in the Lok Sabha, urging an immediate discussion on the death penalty imposed on eight former Indian Navy personnel in Qatar. The motion underscores the gravity of the situation and the need for parliamentary attention to address the concerns surrounding this matter. As tensions rise, the demand for a thorough debate on the fate of these individuals gains prominence in the parliamentary agenda.

As the Winter Session unfolds in Parliament, Rajya Sabha Members of Parliament, including Ayodhya Rami Reddy, Birendra Prasad Baishya, Ghanshyam Tiwari, Lakshmikant Bajpayee, Sushil Kumar Modi, Aditya Prasad, and Shambhu Sharan Patel, are anticipated to initiate a discussion on the "economic situation in the country" in the Upper House. The deliberations are expected to provide insights into the ongoing economic challenges and policy considerations.
