Accommodation for 250 people in Lincholi and 500 people in Kedarnath is being arranged.Other than 7 prefabricated huts, 15 small and as many big tents are being constructed. 30 tents are being pitched at the base camp by the Red Cross society.
Material for 25 tents will be placed in advance. Arrangements for providing power at Kedarnath have been made with 2 additional transformers having already reached Lincholi.By May 3 electricity will be available in Kedarnath, Kumar said.
The yatra will be held with the help of SDRF and Police personnel deployed at sensitive places prone to landslides. Four SDRF teams have been placed in Kedar Valley.
Police outposts have also been set up.
