Jammu, Mar 15: In another gross inhuman act perpetrated by Pakistani authorities, the vital organs in the body of Chamel Singh were taken out, before it was handing over to India on Wednesday.
A five-member board of doctors headed by Dr Bhupesh Khajuria in Jammu found that the body had no heart, kidney or liver. All the vital organs had been extracted in Pakistan, Dr Khajuria said.
The warden of Lahore's infamous Kot Lakhpat Jail had informed authorities on January 15 that Chamel Singh, convicted as an Indian spy, had died, and his body was sent to Jinnah Hospital in Lahore, where it was kept in a mortuary for two months.
On March 13, before handing over the body to India, Pakistani doctors conducted a post mortem. Dr Khajuria now wants the Pakistani post-mortem report to arrive at medico-legal conclusions, since the body bears marks of injuries at several places.
