Mathura (UP), Jul 7: Over 35 persons, including children, suffered from diarrhoea at Aajnokh village here due to consumption of polluted water.
"All persons suffering from diarrhoea were provided treatment in a makeshift hospital set up in the village," CMO Dr B S Yadav said.
"Consumption of polluted water appears to be the main cause behind the disease," he said adding the situation was under control.
The staff of adjoining PHCs have been asked to reach the village.
SDM Ram Singh Gautam said that a handpump was being installed in the village.
"Jal Nigam has been asked to repair the damaged water tank in the village and replace of pipelines which had developed cracks," he said.
