Bangalore: A gang of six persons, including a Nigerian and an Iranian, have been arrested for allegedly peddling drugs here, police said yesterday.
Acting on a tip-off, police arrested the culprits from K R Puram, Banaswadi and Yelahanka areas, Central Crime Branch (CCB) police said, adding they seized from them heroin, cocaine, charas, ecstasy tablets and ganja, besides laptops, mobile phones, two two-wheelers and a car on Saturday last.
The drug peddlers have been identified as Ezeh Fidelis Oguguo (33) from Nigeria, Saeidi Mozhdeh Ehsan from Iran, Veda Prakash (Bangalore), Amaldeep Bora (Assam), R K Momovishal Singh (Manipur) and Rahul Maibam (Manipur), they said.
The Nigerian came to Bangalore in 2010 for a health checkup but did not renew his visa and started to sell charas to students, they said.
The Iranian had also been overstaying after his arrival here in since 2005 for studies in a college here and came in contact with Ved Prakash and began selling banned drugs, they said.
