“Further investigation needs to be done. So far they (NIA) have just identified the accused, which is not sufficient,” he added.
When asked whether the BJP government at the Centre and Chhattisgarh would benefit the state in tackling the menace of Naxalism, he said, “With mutual coordination and combined efforts, the focus will be on the development in disturbed areas, creating employment opportunities, besides eradicating the problem of naxalism.”
A plan will be prepared to take on the Naxals so that such incident (Jiram valley attack) could be averted, he added.
Singh expressed happiness over Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi's decision to invite Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to attend his swearing-in ceremony tomorrow.
“It is good that Nawaz Sharif is coming...discussion and talks will be held. The bilateral issues can only be sorted out through talks and discussion,” he said.
