Hyderabad: The National Investigation Agency has arrested a 28-year-old Burmese national, who was allegedly trained by the Pakistan-based terror group Tehrik-i-Tali-ban, from Balapur in the city in connection with the October 2 explosion in Burdwan, West Bengal.

NIA officials claimed that Khaled, alias Khaled Mohammed, was trained in making improvised explosive devices, and possessed a laptop with “jihadi” literature including ISIS related ones.

NIA officials said Khaled was living in Royal Colony of Balapur with fake documents, and had links with Bangladesh-based terror groups. Officials picked him up following an intelligence tip-off. The NIA registered a case after the Central agencies felt that Khaled's role in the blast needed to be probed. NIA officials said that he organised terror camps on the border of Bangladesh and Burma and he was part of Rohingiya Solidarity Organisation.
