As per the information provided by US NSA Jake Sullivan to NSA Ajit Doval, "United States has identified sources of specific raw material urgently required for Indian manufacture of Covishield vaccine that will immediately be made available for India."

As per the information provided by Jammu and Kashmir Government, "In view of prevailing COVID-19 situation, J&K govt orders that night curfew timings within the municipal limits/urban local body limits of all districts shall be from 8 pm to 6 am instead of 10 pm to 6 am."

The central government on Saturday allocated supply of Remdesivir to 19 States/Union Territories with a high burden of COVID-19 cases. "The escalation of serious COVID19 patients in hospitals for effective clinical management has also resulted in an increase in the demand of Remdesivir. While the States have been advised to promote the judicious use of the drug which is listed as an Investigational Therapy by the Ministry, they have also been advised to take action against possible hoarding and black marketing of the drug," reads a Health Ministry release.

Lockdown is likely to be extended for another week in Delhi in an attempt to curb the covid 19 surge in the national capital. Initially, the lockdown was supposed to end on April 26.
