Mumbai: Mumbai will have to pack up its New Year's Eve celebrations at 1.30 am because Mumbai Police Commissioner Dr Satyapal Singh is adamant about his decision.
On the another hand this is going to give a large business to pubs and clubs in Navi Mumbai because Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner A K Sharma has let restaurants remain open and New Year Eve parties continue till 5 am.
Sharma said, after reviewing the situation, we have decided not to put restrictions except on such bars that employ waitresses. Such bars will have to close at 9.30 pm as per rules.
A large number of revelers are expected move to Navi Mumbai after 1.30 am to continue partying.
