Kolkata: In yet another sensational revelation in high profile Sheena Bora murder case, Siddharth Das, who is said to be the first husband of Indrani Mukherjea, has confirmed that he is the biological father of deceased Sheena Bora and Mikhail Bora.
"I am ready to go for a DNA test to prove that I am the biological father of both children," Siddharth Das told Times Now.
Siddharth, however denied that he was married to Indrani.
"I was never married to Indrani Mukerjea. Both children were born out of wedlock," Siddharth said, adding that “I was in a live in relationship with her (Indrani).”
Siddharth said that Indrani left him in 1989. "After that, I never met her."
When asked did Indrani leave her for money, Siddhartha replied that it's possible.
Siddhartha also claimed that Sheena knew that he was her father.
When he was asked about Sheena's birthday, Siddharth replies, "It's February 11, 1987."
Siddharth also said that he met Sheena when she was in Class X.
To a question whether Indrani could kill Sheena, Siddharth said, "Yes, there is a chance. She was always money-minded."
"I am ready to cooperate Mumbai Police," the biological father of Sheena and Mikhail Bora said.
Siddharth was believed to be the first husband of Indrani. She is accused of murdering her daughter Sheena with help from Sheena's step-father Sanjeev Khanna and her driver Shyamvar Rai on April 24, 2012.
The case has been in the limelight for the last few days due to its twists and turns and shocking revelations.
Meanwhile, Mumbai police has contacted Siddharth and is preparing to bring him to Mumbai for DNA test.
Siddharth has said that there is a threat to his life but Mumbai police has assured him of providing adequate security.
