Netaji used to say "Never lose faith in the dream of independent India, there is no power in the world that can shake India." Today we have a goal to fulfill the dreams of an independent India. We've a target to build a new India before 100th year of independence, 2047, PM Modi said.

"We have laid emphasis on reform as well as an emphasis on Relief, Rescue and Rehabilitation. We modernized NDRF, expanded it across the country. Space technology and other best possible practices have been adopted for planning and management," he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a hologram statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on Sunday evening on the occasion of his 125th birth anniversary. The statue is approximately 28 feet in length and 7.5 feet in width. The statue is powered by a 4k projector capable of delivering a brightness level of 30,000 lumens. The statue itself is powered by 2x30k lumens to help support the massive scale of the project. The statue is designed and developed by Tagbin.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday unveiled the statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at a park named after him here to mark as 'Parakram Diwas' (day of valour) on his 125th birth anniversary.

"The statue of Netaji, which presently is located behind the Vidhana Soudha near the western gate should be shifted to a suitable spot befitting the honour he deserved.... Netaji's next birth anniversary would be celebrated in front of Vidhana Soudha," Bommai told reporters after paying floral tributes to the late leader.

He believed that Bose's statue should be located at a place where it is seen standing and leading everyone.

The Union government on Friday had announced that a grand statue of Bose, the founder ‘Azad Hind Fauj’, will be installed at India Gate in the national capital as a symbol of India's "indebtedness" to him.

Till the statue, made of granite, is completed, a hologram statue of his would be present at the same place, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced, adding that he will unveil the hologram statue on January 23, the birth anniversary of Bose.

The Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management (GIDM) and Sikkim State Disaster Management Authority’s Vice Chairman Vinod Sharma have been selected for the Subhash Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar for 2022 for their excellent work in disaster management.

A Union Home Ministry statement said while the GIDM has been selected in the Institutional category, Sharma was named in the individual category.

The central government has instituted the annual award -- Subhash Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar -- to recognise and honour the invaluable contribution and selfless service rendered by individuals and organisations in India in the field of disaster management.

The award is announced every year on January 23, the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. It carries a cash prize of Rs 51 lakh and a certificate in the case of an institution and Rs 5 lakh and a certificate in the case of an individual.

During the programme, PM Modi will confer the 'Subhas Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskars', for the years 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 in the investiture ceremony. A total of seven awards will be presented during the ceremony. The award recognises the invaluable contribution and selfless service rendered by individuals and organisations in India in the field of disaster management, the PMO said, noting that it is announced every year on January 23.

The award carries a cash prize of Rs 51 lakh and a certificate in case of an institution and Rs 5 lakh and a certificate in case of an individual.

In this spirit, Republic Day celebrations will begin a day early, from 23rd January (today). 

Asserting that the installation of the statue will be a case of India "reclaiming" its history, official sources said the dimension of the hologram statue will be 28 feet long and six feet wide. The granite statue will be installed under a canopy, which used to have a statue of King George V that was removed in 1968, they added.

The hologram statue will be powered by a 30,000 lumens 4K projector and an invisible, high gain, 90 per cent transparent holographic screen has been erected in such a way so that it is not visible to visitors, the PMO statement said.

The 3D image of Bose will be projected on it to create the effect of a hologram.
