"In politics, there can be competitiveness but not enmity. Unfortunately, today opposition has made it its identity to abuse us. We always kept India above all political interests. It is the NDA government that conferred Bharat Ratna on Pranab da. NDA also conferred the Padma award on Sharad Pawar, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Muzaffar Baig and many other leaders who were not with BJP-NDA. We always kept India above all political interests," said PM Modi.

"For NDA, it is nation first, security of the nation first, progress first and empowerment of people first," said PM Modi.

"Even when we were in the opposition, we always did positive politics. In opposition, we brought out scams of the then govts but, never insulted the mandate of the people. We never took the help of foreign powers against the ruling governments. We never created hurdles in development schemes meant for the country," said PM Modi while addressing the NDA leaders' meeting.

"For us, an alliance is not a compulsion but a means of being strong. NDA is not the symbol of coalition and compulsion but the symbol of coalition and contribution. In NDA, no party is small or big. We all are walking together towards the same goal," said PM Modi in NDA meeting.

Any alliance which is formed on the basis of negativity will never get successful, says PM Modi as he hits out at the Opposition's alliance at the NDA meeting in New Delhi.

Maharashtra CM & Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde arrives in Delhi to take part in the meeting of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance.

"Opposition still has not been able to decide its leader, this is a win for Modi ji. Their agenda is only to level allegations at PM Modi, but this will only strengthen NDA which will lead to breaking all records in 2024," he said.

Ahead of the key NDA meeting, BJP chief JP Nadda said that their alliance is underpinned by the ideology of national interest and people's welfare by taking along all sections of society, as he hit out at the opposition parties as a coalition which has neither leader nor any intent or policy or the strength to take a decision.
