PM Modi chairs meeting with NDA MPs, says Opposition renames their bloc as I.N.D.I.A. as 'they don't want...'

According to the Prime Minister, the Opposition has been following the ideology of "appeasement" whereas the NDA alliance works on the principle of "gratification".

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who held a meeting with groups of MPs from the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), said that the Opposition backed I.N.D.I.A bloc renamed their coalition as they were not willing to remember the work done by them in the past ten years-- a comparison he always makes to mark the "sins of corruption and misgovernance" by the earlier regime. He said the opposition alliance would not be able to wash off its sins by altering its names.

According to the Prime Minister, the Opposition has been following the ideology of "appeasement" whereas the NDA alliance works on the principle of "gratification".

The meetings assume significance as they come against the backdrop of the Lok Sabha elections.  Earlier on July 19, when the NDA leaders held a meeting in the national capital, asserted it will contest the 2024 Lok Sabha polls under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and that he will return to the helm for a third straight term with a "huge majority".

Meanwhile, PM Modi, today directed the MPs to aware people about the work done by his regime in the past nine years, especially the abrogation of Article 370 from  Jammu and Kashmir, the building of Ram Mandir, Ayushman Bharat, schemes related to poor people and developmental work.

Also, he told the ministers to campaign extensively on “Meri Mati Mera Desh” drive. Notably, the campaign was launched on Sunday wherein the main intention was to honour the martyred bravehearts of the country.
