New Delhi: Japanese nationals working in India have great expectations from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a delegation from Japan said here Friday.
A delegation comprising members from the Standing Committee on Rules and Administration of the House of Representatives of Japan, led by Ichiro Aisawa, called on Modi at his residence Friday.
Leader of the delegation, Ichiro Aisawa, said Japanese nationals working in India have great expectations from Narendra Modi's government.
The prime minister said the country's strategic and global partnership with Japan is on a high priority.
Modi said fundamental identity of values, interests and priorities exist between India and Japan.
Apart from economic ties, India and Japan share strong Buddhist cultural linkages, the prime minister said.
He added an economically vibrant and strong India was in the interest of the entire Asian continent.
