New Delhi: Narendra Modi government has launched efforts to unravel the mystery of river 'Saraswati' mentioned in vedic texts.
Replying to a ‘calling attention motion' moved by BJP member Rattan Lal Kataria in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti said, "There are enough scientific evidences on the presence of the river Saraswati in some parts of the country through which it flowed about five to six thousand years ago...Saraswati is not a myth."
“I have asked authorities to collect information, detect and revive the water sources and the roots of the river. Saraswati is not a myth but scientific evidence is now available to prove its existence,” the Minister said.
