Muzaffarnagar/Shamli/Baghpat: Normal life in three districts engulfed in communal passions is at last returning to normal, with no untoward incidents in Muzaffarnagar on Tuesday.
Five more bodies were found from Mirapur, Shahpur, Kakrauli and Bhaurakalan localities on Tuesday taking the overall death toll to 47. Police had concealed the murder of a Hapur youth three days ago on Bhopa Road, while in Shamli a middle-aged man was killed.
Officially, the additional director general of police (law and order) Arun Kumar on Tuesday night confirmed the death of 34 persons.

District Magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma distributed Rs 10 lakh drafts each to the kin of 13 killed including Shahnawaz, Gaurav and Sachin, whose murders triggered communal violence.
Several thousand homeless people have taken refuge at ten places. These families have fled their homes after communal violence erupted.
