Mumbai Rains: IMD predicts heavy rains in Mumbai in next 24 hours
Heavy rainfall has continued in Mumbai and its surrounding areas for the second consecutive day. The downpour led to waterlogging in several areas including Andheri, Chembur, Malad, Santa Cruz-Mulund link road, Kurla West, lbs road amongst other places. Thane has also received a heavy downpour over the last 36 hours.

Thane received the maximum rainfall (213.3mm) on Saturday and there were two reports of walls collapsing in the area. Mumbai's Kandivali also took a heavy pouring (184.3mm)

9:21 pm: As per the latest available numbers, Mumbai received 26.72 mm rain. Western Suburbs received 62.84 mm rain while Eastern Suburbs received 76.39 mm of rainfall.
8:05 pm: Maharashtra State Disaster Management Authority has warned that rain and thundershowers are likely to occur in Mumbai, Mumbai suburban, Palghar, Pune, Raigad and Thane during the next 2-4 hours.
5:40 pm: IMD predicts moderate to heavy rains in Mumbai in 24 hours
"In next 24 hours, intermittent moderate to heavy rain expected in Mumbai and suburbs. Possibility of very heavy rainfall at isolated places. Maximum & minimum temperatures likely to be around 27 degree Celsius & 24 degree Celsius, respectively: India Meteorological Dept, Mumbai," said IMD
