Ghaziabad, April 21: A woman on Friday threw her infant from the second floor of her house in Janak Puri, Sahibabad adjoining Ghaziabad after a tiff with her mother-in-law. The woman later absconded.
Pooja Sharma was asked by her mother-in-law to prepare milk for the ten-month-old baby who was crying. The two woman quarreled over the issue, and in a fit of rage Pooja threw the infant, nicknamed Golu, from the second floor.
The injured child was rushed to hospital, but by then it was too late. At the time of the incident, Golu's father Rahul was busy at his shop on the ground floor.
Police have registered a case against the woman who is absconding.
