Hyderabad, Aug 11: Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi today met a former Home Secretary K. Padmanabhaiah, ex-DGP Gopinath Reddy, former VSNL chief T. Hanuman Chowdhary, Care Hospitals chairman K. Somaraju, backward classes leader R. Krishnaiah, Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi leader Manda Krishna Madiga at the Grand Hyatt here where he stayed for a few hours before addressing the rally.
Industrialists belonging to FICCI and Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce also called on Modi.
Telugu film superstar Mohan Babu , Ravi Tej , Nani , comedian Ali were also present at the meeting which was attended by six ex-DGPs, and 12 former IAS and IPS officers.
Those who attended the meeting included retired judges and doctors also.
Modi was accorded a grand welcome by the BJP leaders when he arrived at the Begumpet airport here in the morning to address 'Navabharata Yuvabheri' (youth convention for a new India) at the Lal Bahadur stadium.
