- We have prepared a road-map for sporting events to resume all over the country.
- Sports are important for a country like ours.
- Not only active sports, but there are also millions of people associated with the sports industry. We are looking to resume sporting activities as soon as possible.
- As far as IPL and other sporting leagues go, we need to ensure that health and other mechanisms are in place before we take any informed decision.
- Once the sporting events restart, we need to adapt ourselves to them being held at empty stadia without spectators.
- At least till the end of this year, expect no spectators as sporting events resume.
- A larger relief package for sportspersons and organisations finding it hard to tide over the coronavirus crisis will be decided in consultation with the Union Finance Ministry. The relief our ministry has been providing over the last several months has been adequate.
