Jaipur, Sep 5 : IAS officer Naveen Jain, who went missing last week after leaving behind his family at a restaurant in Alwar district, has contacted his wife, police said today.
“Jain today met his friend Surpreet in Chandigarh and came to know that his wife was hospitalised due to hypertension. He then spoke to her over phone from Chandigarh and assured that he was well,” IG Rajiv Dasot said.
The IAS officer, who was disturbed over some controversy related with his government accommodation here, had left his wife and son at the restaurant in Jaipur-Delhi highway when they were heading towards New Delhi on Tuesday last.
“Jain informed that he was leaving for his parental house in Narwana village in Haryana. His wife also left for the place,” he said.
Jain's wife Sunita was admitted to SMS government hospital here yesterday for hypertension and stress. PTI
