Srinagar: A militant was killed and two soldiers injured in a gunbattle in Baramulla district of Kashmir.

The encounter in Tanmarg started at 7:45 AM and is still in progress, police said.

The encounter began after militants were found during a search operation conducted jointly by the army and Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Two Army jawans are also reported to have got injured in the encounter.
