Srinagar, May 27: Security forces have busted a militant hideout in Baramulla district of north Kashmir and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, police said today.
Acting on specific information, police and troops of 29 Rashtriya Rifles busted the hideout at Khar Cheek in Kreeri area of Baramulla and recovered arms and ammunition, a police spokesman said.
The recoveries included one AK-47 rifle, 294 rounds of AK ammunition, two under barrel grenade launchers (UBGL), 19 UBGL grenades, one pistol, seven pistol magazines, five pistol rounds, one Chinese grenade, two wireless sets and five antennae.
The spokesman said a case has been registered in this regard at Kreeri Police station.
