A man suspected of suffering from coronavirus left a Mathura hospital without informing the authorities, an official said on Wednesday. He had returned from Mumbai on March 6.
He was admitted to KD Medical College and went home after his sample was taken and sent to the medical college at Aligarh Medical University for testing, the official said.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Sher Singh said his sample was sent for testing after he disclosed that he had an interaction with a foreigner during his journey from Mumbai to Delhi.
City Magistrate Manoj Kumar Singh said the man is being persuaded to get himself admitted to the district hospital, otherwise, an FIR will be registered against him.
“We can not expose society and his family to the threat,” the DM said.
