Latehar (Jharkhand), Jan 8: Nearly three companies of Central Reserve Police Force were surrounded by Maoists in the dense forests of Barwadi in Jharkhand's Latehar district on Sunday, and according to official reports, nine CRPF jawans have been killed so far, and 15 others injured.
Unofficial reports said, a total of 22 CRPF jawans were killed in the encounter, with 14 others missing.
The Maoists are more than 250 in number and they have surrounded the entrapped three companies of CRPF jawans belonging to 112 battalion.
