Jammu: Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on Saturday said, many MPs prefer to use ayurvedic medicines for remaining young, for revitalizing memory and for purposes normally used by newly married couples.
He was addressing the Arogya Mela at Parade Ground here alongwith Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah.
Azad said recently he was asked a question in Parliament as to which medicines MPs preferred the most.
Azad said, when I collected information, three types of medicines topped the list - one, to remain young, second, for revitalizing memory and the third, medicines normally used after marriage.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said his cholesterol level has returned to normal after taking ‘Shut Guglu', an Ayurvedic medicine.
“I'm thankful to my friend that after taking the Ayurvedic medicine (Shut Guglu), my cholesterol level is back to normal. My problem is over,'' he said.
Omar Abdullah said, he has stopped doing yoga fearing his bones could break, but he would definitely opt for ayurvedic medicines to tackle grey hair.
The chief minister said, he was worried about his father Farooq Abdullah's health.
