Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed his monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat'. This was the 88th episode of the monthly radio programme. "Mann ki Baat" is the Prime Minister's monthly radio address, which is broadcast on the last Sunday of every month at 11 am. With the focus on online payments, the Prime Minister said digital transactions worth Rs 20,000 crore are now taking place daily in the country and asserted that this is not only increasing facilities but also encouraging an environment of honesty.

  • The country has got a 'Pradhan Mantri Sanghralay', it has been opened for the people of the country. It's a matter of pride that we are remembering the contribution of PMs, it's connecting the youth of the country with them.
  • People are donating many items to museums, & are adding to the cultural heritage of India.  Amid the Covid pandemic, the focus on the digitisation of museums has increased.  Young people must visit museums with their friends in upcoming vacations.
  • It's specified in our scriptures that water is basic necessity of every creature, it's an important natural resource. In Valmiki Ramayan, water preservation was emphasised. During Harappan civilisation, there was advanced engineering for saving water.
  • People should go for 'Cashless Dayout', now even in small villages & town people are using UPI. It's benefitting both shopkeepers & customers. Online payments are developing a digital economy, everyday Rs.20,000 Cr online transactions are taking place.
  • Now scientists are discussing 'Theory of Everything' where everything in the universe can be assimilated. On one side we invented zero while we also explored the idea of infinity. In Vedas & Indian mathematics counting goes beyond billion and trillion.

A week ago last Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had shared a magazine based on the last episode of Mann ki Baat. The prime minister also asked people to join the next episode of his monthly radio address on April 24.

"Here is an interesting magazine on last month's #MannKiBaat in which we discussed diverse topics like India's exports jump, Ayurveda start-ups, water conservation and traditional fairs. Do join the next episode on the 24th", tweeted PM Modi.

'Mann ki Baat' is a radio programme, aired on All India Radio on the last Sunday of every month, through which Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacts with the nation.
