Karnal: A man succumbed to injuries after being hit by a vehicle belonging to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar's cavalcade on national highway near Taraori.
Police said that the victim, believed be in 30s, was trying to cross the highway when he was hit by the vehicle.
The incident took place yesterday evening when the Chief Minister was on way to Delhi from Chandigarh.
Two police personnel, who were travelling in the vehicle, were also injured in the incident.
The vehicle in the convoy turned turtle as its driver tried to avoid hitting the pedestrian, who is yet to be identified, police said.
The convoy halted at the spot and the Chief Minister gave instructions for dealing with the emergency before continuing with the onward journey, police said, adding that the injured policemen have been hospitalised.
