Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is understood to have zeroed in on June 6 to lay the foundation stone for the new capital city, Amaravathi, near Tullur of Guntur district. The chief minister will perform 'Bhumi Pujan' at Mandam village, located on the city outskirts near Krishna river bund, tomorrow at 8.49 AM
4) Tight security in place for Operation Bluestar anniversary
Ahead of the Operation Bluestar anniversary, which had witnessed violent clashes inside the shrine last year, the city has started witnessing a heavy deployment of police. Besides around 1,200 cops from the Amritsar police commissionerate, around 1,000 cops have started arriving from other districts. The cops have been deployed in big numbers near Hall Gate and the Golden Temple.
