Mumbai: A major fire broke out at a construction site of leading city-based real estate developer Lodha Group in Wadala on Thursday morning. So far no injuries have been reported.
The fire broke out at around 10am on the roughly 23 acres 'New Cuffe Parade' plot. About 10 fire engines and eight water tankers have been rushed to the spot to douse the flames.
In 2011, Lodha announced its investment in a Rs 10,000 crore project, titled 'New Cuffe Parade' comprising of both commercial as well as residential towers at Wadala in the island city.
The project is slotted to be completed in five to seven years.
