Gangtok: Major General Y V K Mohan will take over as General Officer Commanding 17 Mountain Division from Maj Gen D Anbu.

The two senior officials called on Sikkim chief minister Pawan Chamling here today.

Hailing from Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, Maj Gen YVK Mohan was commissioned in the 11 Gorkha Rifles in 1981. During his service career, he has served in high altitude areas in Sikkim, Ladakh and Siachen Glacier.
