Mahakumbh 2025: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday reached Delhi to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.
Kumbh Mela 2025: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has arrived in Delhi on Friday to invite PM Modi to the Kumbh mela in Prayagraj. The meeting is scheduled at 5 pm. Mahakumbh is set to take place from January 13 to February 26, with an expected turnout of 40 crore devotees this year.
CM Yogi Adityanath 'Kumbhvani' FM channel
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday inaugurated 'Kumbhvani'- an FM channel dedicated to disseminating information related to the Maha Kumbh 2025. "Prasar Bharati has launched the OTT-based Kumbhvani FM channel to disseminate comprehensive information about the Maha Kumbh. Broadcasting at a frequency of 103.5 MHz, the channel will be on air from January 10 to February 26, operating daily from 5.55 am to 10.05 pm," the UP government said in the statement.
Digital Experience Centre
Further, CM Yogi Adityanath had inaugurated the Digital Maha Kumbh Experience Centre and said it displays the divinity and grandeur of the religious gathering digitally. This centre will use virtual reality (VR), augmented reality technologies, holograms and LED displays to digitally showcase stories of the Maha Kumbh, Samudra Manthan, Prayag Mahatam and Triveni Sangam.
The Digital Experience Centre is spread over 60,000 square feet at Sector 3 of the Kumbh Mela area and is divided into 12 zones.
Mahakumbh 2025: Economic projection
Kumbh mela is projected to generate up to Rs 2 lakh crore in economic growth, said CM Yogi Adityanath. Sharing the economic impact of the Maha Kumbh, the chief minister said the 2019 event contributed Rs 1.2 lakh crore to the state's economy. With an expected turnout of 40 crore devotees this year, the Maha Kumbh is projected to generate up to Rs 2 lakh crore in economic growth.
Adityanath revealed that the year 2024 has already seen over 16 crore devotees visiting Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi and more than 13.55 crore devotees in Ayodhya from January to September.
