A two-storeyed building collapsed near Lal Gate area in Madhya Pradesh's Dewas area on Tuesday. As many as 6 people have been rescued and sent to the hospital. Some are still feared to be trapped under the debris.
The latest unfortunate incident comes a day after, Tareq Garden building in Mahad town in Maharashtra's Raigad district collapsed on Monday. At least 10 people have died. Police have registered an offence against five persons, including the builder and architect of Tareq Garden.
"The incident occurred at Station Road. Seven people have been rescued so far. Municipal corporation and other teams are engaged in the rescue operation," said Jagdish Dawar, Additional Superintendent of Police (SP) told news agency ANI.
More people are feared to be trapped under the debris. Municipal Corporation officials and police staff are present at the spot.
The building belongs to one Zakhir Sheikh.
