Addressing a gathering in Kerala, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reflected on the achievements of the past decade while emphasizing the necessity for continued efforts towards the advancement of Kerala and India as a whole. Prime Minister Modi described the developments of the last ten years as merely a trailer, indicating that there is much more to be accomplished in the journey towards progress and prosperity.
While acknowledging the strides made in various sectors during the previous decade, Modi underscored the importance of building on these achievements to realise the full potential of Kerala and India.
PM Modi, addressing the occasion, emphasised that the Sankalp Patra serves as the blueprint for Bharat’s progress, encapsulating his guarantees for the nation’s growth and prosperity. The manifesto, termed as the Sankalp Patra, embodies the BJP’s commitments towards steering the country’s development trajectory towards new heights.
During a public rally in Palakkad, PM Modi said, "BJP has released the vision of 'Vikas' and 'Viraasat' for the next 5 years. Palakkad is also called the gateway of Kerala. The natural beauty here fascinates everyone. There are many temples, churches and places of faith here in Kerala. In the next 5 years, we will work to make Kerala a global heritage. We will connect Kerala with the network of Highways Expressways and high-speed Vande Bharat trains..."
Campaign schedule
1. Kunnamangalam, Alathur constituency
PM Modi will kick off the day with a public meeting in Kunnamangalam, Alathur constituency, located in Thrissur District. He will extend his support to NDA candidates T N Sarasu and Suresh Gopi, contesting in the Alathur and Thrissur constituencies respectively.
2. Kattakkada, Thiruvananthapuram district
Following his engagement in Alathur, PM Modi will proceed to Kattakkada, situated in Thiruvananthapuram District. Here, he will campaign for V Muraleedharan and Rajeev Chandrashekar, union ministers contesting from the Attingal and Thiruvananthapuram constituencies under the NDA banner.
Electoral significance
With polling in Kerala slated for April 26 across all 20 constituencies, PM Modi’s visit underscores the BJP’s concerted efforts to consolidate support in the state. This marks the Prime Minister’s sixth visit to Kerala, underscoring the strategic importance accorded to the region by the ruling party.
