Patna, Aug 7: Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday announced ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh to be paid to the next of kin of each of the four martyred Indian army jawans hailing from the state.
Expressing grief over the killings, the chief minister said, all the four jawans will be given state funerals in their villages.
The four martyred jawans belong to 21 Bihar Regiment.
They are : Naik Prem Nath Singh, r/o Chhapra, Lance Naik Shambhu Sharan Rai, r/o Bhojpur, Vijay Kumar Rai, r/o Patna and Raghunandan Prasad, r/o Chhapra.
The 21 Bihar Regiment gave its farewell guard of honour to the martyred jawans in Poonch on Tuesday afternoon. The bodies are being sent in plane to Bihar.
