Roller coaster crashes in Khopoli, Maharashtra, two injured

Mumbai: A huge roller coaster crashed today at the Adlabs Imagica theme park in Khopoli in Raigad district injuring two persons. Six compartments of the roller coaster got derailed, sources said. Two women were injured. One of them suffered injury in the head, and the other had a minor injury on her face. The mishap occured at around 1 pm at the Bandits of Robin Hood. The two women guests were immediately sent to the nearest hospital and the roller coaster has been closed for safety precautions, though the park is operational, said a press relese from Adlabs Imagica. Vincent Pijnenburg, Chief Operating Officer Adlabs Imagica said “We have always complied with the maintenance and operational procedures recommended by the manufacturers of every ride. The safety of our guests and employees is our company's utmost priority.
