New Delhi: A slipper was thrown at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at a public function in Begusarai on Sunday. The slipper missed the chief minister.
The incident took place when Nitish was addressing Janata Dal United's 'Sankalp Rally' and said the two old partners (Congress, RJD) were coming together again to bring back the dark days of poor law and order and misgovernance.
Nitish highlighted the efforts made by the present government to improve the situation in the state since he came to power in 2007.
Nitish said after assuming power for the first time in November 25, 2005, he had worked day and night to bring the state back on track in the past eight years.
He also took a dig at RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav and said that the manner in which he returned after being in prison in connection with fodder scam case makes it look like he was in prison for some freedom movement, the report stated.
