Chouhan also made an announcement to this effect while addressing the concluding session of state executive meeting.
The state Cabinet at its meeting on January 6 had taken a decision to allow sale of IMFL from country-made liquor shops despite stiff opposition from some of the ministers, party sources said.
The decision was also strongly opposed by Congress and other sections of the society.
Chouhan said it was not necessary that once the decision was taken, it will not be taken back.
“We did so and have changed the decision on the matter,” he added.
