Indore: Government Railway Police (GRP) has launched a probe into an incident where its personnel allegedly forced a minor rag-picker girl to gather severed remains of a man who committed suicide on the railway tracks.
Superintendent of Police (GRP) RC Bur told PTI on Monday that he has asked a Deputy SP-level officer to start a probe into the December 21 incident in Indore.
Based on the probe report, disciplinary action will be taken against those found guilty, he said.
According to sources, a man committed suicide on Saturday by jumping in front of a running train.
Some on-duty GRP personnel forced the girl, a rag-picker, to gather the mutilated body.
