New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal has been hogging the news headlines because of his off-beat approach towards governance. From staging public protest on different issues to retweeting Vishal Dadlani's controversial tweets, Kejriwal has made a mark in becoming the hot topic of nation. He has become a man whom politicians fear.Here are some controversies related to Arvind Kejriwal who resigned on Friday Feb 14: 1. Music Director, Vishal Dadlani, supporter of AAP had tweeted in which he had apparently called Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi a “moron” and BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi a “murderer”. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader retweeted Dadlani's post which said: “Stuck between a moron and a murderer....what now, India!?” Endorsing such tweets would make the matter worse for him knowing the fact that he holds the CM position now. 2.The nightlong protest of Kejriwal to defend his minister Somnath Bharti for conducting a midnight raid at Khirki extension was no less than a drama. Kejriwal sat on the roads of Delhi, slept on the pavement and was branded an anarchist. He demanded suspension of two SHOs, but agreed to finish his protest after the two police officers were sent on leave. 3. Kejriwal indeed saluted the tricolor on January 26 after the flag hoisting ceremony, but media reported that he did not salute and immediately took to his seat. 4. With allegations of scams against Congress leaders, Kejriwal and his party took support of Congress to form government. This came as a big surprise but the AAP leader stuck to his point of view that it was the Congress that backed him and that the Congress can very well withdraw support anytime it wants. 5. The allotment of five-bedroom duplex in the posh Bhagwan Das Road in the national capital. Kejriwal accepted the accommodation offer contradicting his stand on VIP culture. He then declined the accommodation provided after severe criticism. 6. The Janta Darbar organized by the CM to address public grievances turned out to be a fiasco. Kejriwal was forced to call off his Janata Darbar after the crowd went out of control. It drew sharp criticism. The chief minister then defended by saying that grievances can also be addressed online. 7. The most recent controversy, Kejriwal threatened he would resign if Jan Lokpal Bill was not allowed to be passed by the assembly. A man in a hurry, Kejriwal said, Delhi Assembly had the powers to pass the bill, but the rules say, the draft bill must first be submitted to the Lt Governor for clearance before being passed. He even slammed the Delhi Police and said Delhi Police Chief should resign if he is not confident about ensuring safety of people and leaders at the open session of discussion on Jan Lokpal Bill at Indira Gandhi stadium.
