2. Maharashtra In Maharashtra, 11 people were killed and 271 injured in 64 incidents of communal violence until October, 2013.
Of the injured, 101 were Hindus, 106 Muslims and 64 police officials, as per the report of the central government.
Dhule riots in 2013 caused the death of 6 people and 229 people were injured. The riots took place due to a row over the non payment of restaurant bill by an auto driver.
3. Madhya Pradesh There have been 84 incidents of communal violence in the state. The Harda riots in the Chhipabad town occurred due to the rumors spread by people over the slaughter of holy cow.
