Dubbing me an ISI agent has put my life in danger both in India, Pakistan, says Mehr Tarar

New Delhi: The Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar trapped in the controversy involving Union Minister Shashi Tharoor, has said that Sunanda has put her life in trouble by dubbing her an ISI agent.“I am very happy



Asked if she knew Tharoor, Tarar said, “I met him in April last year for an interview in India. Then I met him in June in Dubai in a social gathering. Yes, I have been in touch with him once in a while on Twitter and email.”

She claimed because of the controversy, she got an additional 3,000 followers on Twitter and a majority of them were from India. “Except for five per cent of them, all have supported me.”

Mehr Tarar is a journalist who works with Pakistan Times. .

The minister, who has more than 20 lakh followers on Twitter, later clarified that his Twitter ID got reportedly hacked.

Tharoor also issued a joint statement with his wife that they both are happily married and denied rumours of their divorce.
