Know about Satyam who cracked IIT-JEE at the age of 13

New Delhi: A 13-year-old student from Ara, Bihar, Satyam became the youngest in the country to crack the IIT-JEE entrance examination yet.His name is Satyam. Satyam is the youngest to crack the test in 2013 and in 2012.Born on July 20, 1999 Satyam belongs to a poor farmer's family. He had completed his class XII from Senior Secondary School, Kota with 85 per cent marks.Satyam passed his eighth class from the Rajasthan Board and cleared ninth to twelfth standard from the CBSE-affiliated Modern School in Kota.Satyam appeared for the IIT-JEE examination twice.In 2012 he appeared from the Chennai zone and got All India rank of 8137.He reappeared in 2013 as he wanted to improve his rank.In 2013 he appeared from IIT Mumbai and got all India rank of 679.Satyam's parents used to live in a village near Ara. He lived with his grandmother and uncle at Kota.Satyam is a child prodigy.The most surprising thing about this wonder boy is that he was not admitted to any formal school till the age of seven, but the child prodigy had by then already memorized the Geeta and Ramayan, by heart.Neither his parents have even passed high school, and his father flunked his matriculation exam thrice. Because of his family's modest annual income, Satyam did not have the money to train for IIT at Kota's expensive coaching classes. But seeing his genius, his institute gave him free training for the past five years. Satyam has been living in Kota since 2007 and all his school fees and other expenses are borne by the Resonance Institute and its Director R K Verma. Besides his IIT course, Satyam has an interesting plan. “I want to develop a social website like Facebook as Mark Zuckerberg is my favourite idol,” he said.The youngest IITian before Satyam was Delhi boy Sahal Kaushik, who was 14-year-old when he qualified in 2011. Satyam is a highly ambitious boy. He cites Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and late Steve Jobs of Apple as his idols.
