New Delhi: Railway minister Pawan Kumar Bansal's nephew (sister's son) Vijay Singla is a businessman in his early 40s.
His palatial house in Sector 28, Chandigarh is spread over 4 kanals and has recently bought 100 acres of land in Dera Bassi for a housing project.
Singla is the owner of upcoming commercial complex "Acropolis", a venture of Mirage Infra Limited, in Industrial Area, Phase 1, Chandigarh.
He even spent a whopping Rs 3.6 lakh for a VIP number: CH-04-C-0001.
"No specific reason for getting number 01, I wanted this number for my Mercedes, so I decided I had to have this number,” said an elated Singla.
In a sensational case of bribery of Rs.90 lakh for fixing a top level position in the government, Singla was arrested yesterday by the CBI.
